Incorporated in 2007, TAKX Solutions Pte Ltd is the premier solutions provider of Goods & Services Tax (GST) related consultancy and GST, corporate tax, finance, risk management and international trade documentation education.

Formed with a dedicated team that strives to remove GST-associated complications our clients face, we translate our professional expertise into value for our customers, allowing our customers to focus their time and resources on core competencies and strategic business goals, instead of being bogged down by legislative requirements and administrative burden.

TAKX Solutions is proud to announce that we have trained more than 7,000 participants from over 3,500 organisations via our workshops since our inception. About Our Trainers

Mr Andre Lim - ATP
A former Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) Senior Tax Officer backed by 6 years of hands-on experience in managing and solving difficult tax returns, Mr Lim has more than a decade of public speaking experience. The Accredited Tax Practitioner has conducted more than 200 seminars and GST training classes with many organisations, including:

Mr Lim Lian Soon - FCPA Singapore, FCPA (Aust), FCCA (UK), ATA
Mr Lim Lian Soon has been practising as a Certified Public Accountant for over 15 years, and is currently the CEO of a public listed company. Prior to that he had worked in internal audit, regional accounting and tax compliance.

Since 1989, he has also been actively conducting Continuing Professional Education
courses and in-house training on internal audit and fraud, taxation, financial accounting and financial management.

Mr Lim Kaim Soon - EMBA, FCCA, BBA (Hons)
Mr Lim has extensive experience in the areas of consultancy and lecturing. His forte in the field of consultancy lies in the areas of designing and implementation of internal control systems, as well as data processing and information system design.

He teaches finance and accounting subjects at the tertiary level, and lectures on topics in the areas of financial accounting, management accounting, financial management and international finance..

Prior to his work as a consultant/lecturer, Mr Lim was a General Manager in the manufacturing and retail industry for five years. His duties included financial and management accounting, internal control and auditing, project financing and corporate secretarial matters. He has also had over 5 years of experience in the banking and general industries, being involved in investment, risk analysis and insurance accounting.

Mr Sardool Singh - CPA Singapore, FCCA
Mr Sardool Singh has over 20 years of experience in teaching financial accounting and is a regular speaker for public seminars in the areas of Financial Report Standards Updates, Accounting for Financial Instruments and other technical financial accounting topics.

Mr Singh is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of a private investment firm. He was
the Group Financial Controller of a Singapore listed healthcare company prior to his
current engagement. During his 10 years in the company, he was responsible for
the entire Group financial functions and was responsible for the IPOs of two
subsidiaries on the former SESDAQ.

His other working experiences included three years with an international accounting
firm and a year with a Japanese merchant bank

Ms Sowmya Varadharajan
Ms Sowmya Varadharajan is a Senior Manager at Transfer Pricing Associates (S) Pte Ltd, an independent and specialist provider of expert transfer pricing and tax valuation services. She is an economist with a PhD in Economics from Cornell University.

Sowmya started her career in transfer pricing at PwC. Having worked as part of the transfer pricing practices in both the US and Singapore, Sowmya has extensive experience in preparing transfer pricing documentation and defending such documentation before tax authorities either as part of the transfer pricing audit process, or through the Advance Pricing Agreement (APA) process.

Sowmya has advised on a wide variety of issues, ranging from simple transfer of goods between related enterprises, to more complicated arrangements of buy-in/cost share/cost contribution and intellectual property transfers. In terms of industry experience, Sowmya has extensive experience in the high-tech/semiconductor as well as pharmaceuticals/biomedical industries.

In addition to her transfer pricing expertise, Sowmya also has considerable experience on tax valuation projects.

Mr Sivakumar Saravan
Mr Sivakumar Saravan is a tax director at a mid-sized international accounting firm. He has 15 years of experience in tax compliance and tax consultancy work for individuals, local corporations, multinationals and financial institutions.

The industries that he has extensive experience in tax consultancy work include fund management, bio-technology, manufacturing, trading, education, healthcare, advertising, e-commerce and international shipping. He has also been the tax advisor to several companies during their initial public offering (on the Singapore Exchange) exercise.

Siva has extensive experience in advising clients on international tax implications of cross-border transactions involving the various countries in the region, including Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. He has also advised on appropriate holding company structures for several multinational companies based in Singapore for their outboard investments into Europe and the Asia Pacific region.

Siva has conducted several seminars on local and international tax and is routinely invited to speak on a wide spectrum of issues such as permanent establishment, transfer pricing, withholding tax and tax risk management. He is currently the consultant editor of CCH's Singapore Master Tax Guide manual. He is also one of the authors of the Worldwide Business Tax Guide and International Tax Planning – Expatriates & Migrants, both also published by CCH.

Mrs Olivia Chan
Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and an MBA graduate in Finance from the University of Leeds, Olivia is a seasoned documentary credit specialist of over 30 years.

She joined Natwest Group in 1977 and was with the company for about two decades and her last position was Manager of its Trade Finance Unit. Olivia also served as a Treasury Manager with a top Singapore-based research and development organisation from 1997 to 2002.

Olivia is a Certified Documentary Credit Specialist, a qualification jointly issued by the Chartered Institute of Bankers (UK) and the International Financial Services Association (USA) and endorsed by the International Chamber of Commerce based in Paris.

Ms A Geetha - CPA SIngapore, MBA, ASIArb
The founding partner of a Certified Public Accounting Firm, Geetha has more than 15 years of experience in handling Singapore taxation issues and cross-border taxation issues. She regularly trains and updates practising and non-practising CPAs and the general public in related field on Singapore Income Tax. She also lectures on the Singapore Income Tax and Planning for ACCA students and students aspiring to be Chartered Financial Planners. Geetha has authored revision kits for tax students and is also an appointed examiner for an Advanced Tax Paper at the National Level.

 
     
 

Mr Manmohan Singh
A director of a GST advisory firm, Manmohan is a pioneer in the successful implementation of GST in Singapore. He had amassed a wealth of experience over 14 years in IRAS, dealing with complex GST issues, rulings, taxpayer education and GST audit as well as being on the panel of IRAS seminars. During his tenure at IRAS, Manmohan managed a team responsible for GST registration, MES, Group registration and complex tax queries.

 
     
 

Mr Chai Yee Hoi
Mr Chai has over 10 years of experience in the field of GST having worked as a GST manager with an international accounting firm as well as a Senior GST Auditor of IRAS. He possesses a wealth of experience in complex GST related issues and project management of large-scale GST assignments such as GST reviews, advisory and research work on the GST treatment of business transactions.
